about merkur

merkur Funksysteme AG develops and operates intelligent, open, low-maintenance transmission solutions for energy and buildings technology, industry and agriculture.

Headquartered in Sursee (CH), merkur Funksysteme AG is the leading developer and operator of intelligent, open, low-maintenance transmission solutions for energy and buildings technology, industry and agriculture. Merkur solutions are used whenever cable-based approaches are impossible or uneconomical. They also come into play when the topic of energy management becomes relevant for older buildings, such as listed houses, or large-scale facilities such as wall shops.

We offer special solutions with bidirectional communication options and open interfaces both upwards (to the control systems) and downwards (to the sensors). merkur Funksysteme supports all control systems rather than relying on a single standard, as many other providers do.

Your benefit

Wireless technology is not a new invention. Many standardised solutions are available. These may tempt with their low prices, but their range tends to be low and they are often limited to unidirectional communication. In other words: there are very few solutions with open interfaces that communicate bidirectionally. This is what sets our products apart from the competition:

to our solutions

  • 2 - 5 storeys
  • up to 3km in open land
  • The transmission range can be increased using repeaters (up to 5x)

> 10 years

Customer satisfaction is first priority

  • No infrastructure is damaged by cable ducts
  • Lower in cost, because of simple installation
  • No issues with fire safety regulations

Thanks to its open interfaces (Modbus, BACnet, plug-in export options), the merkur wireless system can be integrated into any automation system

Simple integration of fieldbus systems thanks to the merkur configuration software
